The one and only Kat Von D took to Instagram once again to share more phenomenal news involving Kat Von D Beauty, a compassionate company that is changing the face of the makeup industry, for good!
Good for the consumer! Good for animals! Good for the environment! Good for everyone!
Good for it Kat!
The multi-talented artist announced that she is working on a complete collection of vegan and cruelty-free makeup brushes that will be launched in the near future.
“I’ve teamed up with my #KvDArtistryCollective artists to create the most effective brush formations, using the highest grade synthetic fibers that mimic the same product distribution you would get from animal-based bristles,” posted Kat Von D. “We are living in amazing times right now where technology is making it so easy to make compassionate choices in the products we purchase, without having to exploit animals.”
In addition to applauding her dedicated team for the “relentless time + energy” they put into helping her create “true” cruelty-free products, which further spread the important message behind the base, Kat thanked her many followers who have transitioned their makeup kits to become cruelty-free.
“It makes me proud to call you guys my friends,” she wrote.
While Kat and her company, which has reportedly created seven brushes thus far, did not yet announce the official launch date or which brushes will debut, they did tease with a photo of a new “mysterious” packaging which reads “vegan” & “fur-free artistry.”
As WAN previously reported, having fully embraced veganism, Kat Von D has made good on her word to work on reformulating her brand to include products that are 100% vegan, such as their increasingly popular Everlasting Liquid Lipstick.
In May, Kat Von D also officially announced on Instagram that KVDB was launching four new lipsticks that would benefit Kat Von D Beauty’s charity of the year Farm Sanctuary.
Money raised from the four new shades will surely be put to good use at Farm Sanctuary as the heralded animal welfare organization continues “to protect farm animals from cruelty, inspire change in the way society views and treats farm animals, and promote compassionate vegan living.”
Ever the compassionate-creative, Kat Von D further explained that the first color in the Farm Sanctuary collection would be named Hilda, in honor of the first animal that was rescued by Gene Bauer and his animal welfare organization in 1986; a sheep that was tragically discarded and left to die of starvation.
