The Kingman County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant on a residential property at approximately 8:00 a.m. on September 4th. The animals there appeared to be living in a poor, filthy environment, and some appeared to be suffering from skin conditions. Many animals were running loose on the property while others were contained in makeshift pens where they were found crawling under trailers to access shade.

“No animal deserves to suffer in deplorable conditions like those we’ve seen today,” said Midge Grinstead, Kansas state director for the Humane Society of the United States in a statement. “We are thankful to the Kingman County Sheriff’s Office and our partners for answering the call to help these animals.”
