Police in Willoughby, Ohio are searching for four men in connection with the theft of a baby bird over the weekend that will die without proper care.

According to a post on the police department’s Facebook page, the Pineapple Green-Cheek Conure, which is valued at $329.00, was stolen around noon on Saturday from the Pet Paradise store on Euclid Avenue.

“The bird is a baby and must be hand-fed or it will not make it,” noted the urgent post.

Three men reportedly distracted the clerk while a fourth left the store with the bird. The suspects are described as three white males in their 20’s and a white older male.
