Mark your calendars because the highly-anticipated new documentary Eating You Alive is set to screen in 570 theaters across the United States, one night only, this Thursday, April 5th, beginning at 7:00 pm local time.

Samuel L. Jackson is among a host of noted personalities, healthcare experts, and doctors appearing in the thought-provoking film that “explores the dysfunctional relationship Americans have with food and takes a scientific look at the reasons we’re so sick, who’s responsible for feeding us the wrong information and how we can use simple dietary changes to take back control of our health, one bite at a time.”

As noted on the film’s Facebook page, Jackson is one of an ever-growing population that “believes that switching to a plant-based diet is a journey worth taking.”

Tragically, half of all adults in the U.S. struggle with chronic health conditions including cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, obesity, hypertension, Alzheimer’s, and arthritis.

Yet despite countless dollars spent on medical research, new drugs, and innovative technology, more Americans are disabled and dying from chronic diseases than ever before.

Fortunately, we all have the power to make changes in our daily lives, such as adopting a whole food, plant-based diet, that will not only help to prevent but oftentimes reverse a number of diseases.

Many vital revelations are exposed throughout Eating You Alive including the fact that by avoiding consumption of animal-based products, a person’s carbon footprint can decrease by 55%.

Equally important, as more and more people eat plant-based diets, the less there are “turning a blind eye to the inhumane, dark and brutal slaughtering of 20,000 animals per minute in the U.S. alone.”
