Happy World Vegan Day! The Vegan Society Launches New App Designed To Help People Go Vegan In 30 Days

Today is World Vegan Day and the beginning of World Vegan Month; a time to recognize how far the vegan movement has come, to highlight how accessible and beneficial a plant-based lifestyle can be, and to encourage people to adopt veganism by sharing advice, recipes and ideas.

To commemorate the occasion and its 74th anniversary, The Vegan Society has launched an unprecedented new app to help the vegan-curious adopt a plant-based lifestyle in 30 days.

“It’s been 74 years since the founding of The Vegan Society and in that time, we have helped countless people go and stay vegan,” the educational non-profit shared in a post on its Facebook page. “Today we are delighted to announce the launch of VeGuide – the app that makes it easier than ever to go vegan.”

The free VeGuide app, which is now available on Android and iOS devices, offers an introduction to the vegan lifestyle through a combination of interactive content with shopping, nutrition, and recipe information, tailored for a U.S. audience.

The app is designed to serve as a personal vegan guide, exploring the most common stumbling blocks to going vegan, and giving people the tools to overcome them.

“Think you will never be able to give up cheese? Do you struggle with finding vegan products? Are you just undecided if veganism really is the right choice for you? We’ll help you with all of this and so much more,” The Vegan Society noted.

The video content of the app is presented by prominent YouTuber Mic The Vegan, and includes quizzes and a rewards program.

“VeGuide was designed to provide a platform that’s more suited to a younger audience, which our research showed are the most likely age group to have an interest in veganism,” Danielle Saunders, Digital Content Officer at The Vegan Society, said in a statement. “We feel the development of VeGuide marks a new phase for The Vegan Society and a new way of embracing veganism for the general public.”

VeGuide is available to download for free on Google Play and the App Store now.
