Heroic Coast Guard Saves Nearly Drowned Kitten With CPR

Marsala, ITALY: A kitten who nearly drowned on a beach was rescued by a coast guard team who performed CPR to save its life.

After the coast guard members spotted the kitten, they dove in and brought the drenched kitten on board their boat. Although no one was trained in “kitten CPR”, the sweet one was luckily resuscitated and taken to a local coast guard office to recover and dry off.

The kitten, now known as “Charlie”, has since been adopted by the Maritime Circondariale Marsala.

We thank the Italian Coast Guard for their care of Charlie, and for their patience in working for 2 minutes to resuscitate him!
