Important! Signatures Needed To Save 14 Tigers From Export To German Circus

Earlier this month WAN shared the sad news that Suzy, a 6-year-old Bengal tiger, was shot by police in Georgia after she escaped from a truck en route to Tennessee.

Making the tragic loss even more heartbreaking is the fact that Suzy was a survivor of the now-defunct Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus where she had been forced to perform for most of her life.

R.I.P. Suzy!

Now, the parent company of the circus, Feld Entertainment, wants to export 14 of its tigers to Germany.

Feld Entertainment has submitted an application to send the tigers to Germany. This permit process is required when transporting any endangered species across borders. As if they have not been mistreated and traumatized enough, the trip would further jeopardize the animals’ welfare; only to leave them to suffer more at the German circuses.

They need and deserve to be protected and spared from even more years of animal circus cruelty.

A much-needed petition is currently circulating urging the USFWS to deny the permit application from Feld Entertainment and force them to retire their animals to an accredited sanctuary instead.
