Miraculous Rescue Of A Lioness By David Sheldrick Widlife Trust

In 2014 an 11-year-old lioness named Siena was rescued by emergency vets after a fight with a buffalo.

Emergency response flew to the Masai Mara in Kenya to treat the gaping wound on her hind leg.

Dr. Njoroge and other members of the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust team  spent 3.5 hours operating on Siena.

After the long process of cleaning her wound with Saline and stitching her leg back together, Siena rejoined her cubs and made a full recovery.

We recently found from wildlife photographer Mark Drury, that in 2015, Siena was poisoned by the Maasai and left for dead, being attacked by hyenas.

This video does give hope for the rescue and release of wild animals in Africa. RIP Angel Siena ❤️
