Rescue Animals Prove To Make The Purrrfect Date For Valentine’s Day In The Philippines!

Philippine Animal Welfare Society

Every day has the possibility to be filled with unconditional love when you are a pet parent. A creative animal welfare organization in the Philippines is proving this point with a special four-day Valentine’s Day event.

“Who says you have to be taken to enjoy Valentine’s day,” Manila-based Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) questioned on its Facebook page. “Here at PAWS we celebrate love all year round and this week we are giving you the unique opportunity to meet our friendly rescues up close.”

For a minimal donation to PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center (PARC), which serves as a temporary shelter for dogs and cats rescued from cruelty or neglect, people can enjoy a special date with an adorable animal that comes complete with snacks, drinks, fun date booths, and most importantly, lots of priceless love and kisses!

People who were not able to go to the event on Valentine’s Day need not worry because the event is open from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm until Saturday, February 17th.

To schedule a date, please call or text 0925-5853004 to reserve your preferred time and day. It is suggested that visitors arrive at the center located at Aurora Blvd., Katipunan Valley, Loyola Heights, Q. C., at least 30 minutes early to choose which shelter cat or dog they want to go on a date with.

Beginning Thursday, walk-ins will also be welcome.

Many shelters are offering Valentine’s Day specials for adopting new four-legged family members. For those ready and able to make a lifetime commitment to a deserving dog or cat, please remember to #AdoptNotShop!

May your Valentine’s Day be filled with love and treats!
