Sign Petition Urging Police In Queensland, Australia To Find The Subhuman Who Nailed A Koala To A Wooden Post

This time last month WAN reported the horrific and heartbreaking news that a dead koala bear was found nailed to a post at an Australian park.

Sadly, the search for the sick person or persons responsible for this unfathomable act is still ongoing.

According to a Care2 petition, further investigation revealed that the poor koala was dead before it was mounted to a post which does little to lessen the severity of the abhorrent act.

Those responsible must be caught before they hurt other wildlife, but now there are concerns that officials who originally thought they were looking for a possible animal abuser, may put this case on the back burner. Really?

Regardless of whether or not this animal was dead or alive when it was nailed to the post, it is imperative that officials continue their search for the culprits and hold them accountable.

As previously reported by WAN, members of the rescue organization Koala Rescue Queensland were responding to a tip when they tragically found that the koala which appeared to be climbing a wooden gazebo in a photo, was, in fact dead and horrifically nailed in place at Brooloo Park Lookout.

“This is very disturbing,” Queensland RSPCA spokesman Michael Beatty said at the time. “Whether or not the koala was dead, how somebody would think this was in some way humorous when little kids go to that lookout area, is beyond me.”

Please sign the petition letting the Queensland Police know that you want justice to be served for the poor Koala bear HERE!

You can help all animals and our planet by choosing compassion on your plate and in your glass. #GoVeg
