A brave goat named Timur who was supposed to be dinner for a Siberian tiger has befriended the big cat instead, when the goat was dropped into Amur’s enclosure at a Russian Safari Park.

The two have sadly since been separated due to Amur coming into heat and the fact that Timur gained some 20 kilogrammes since joining the tiger in his enclosure. “Timur’s problem is obesity, which can be harmful for his health,” the director of the park said in a statement. “We have decided to fulfill two tasks – to carry out Timur’s veterinary care.

The world will never forget this unlikely friendship between Timur the goat and Amur the tiger that so many of us can learn a lot from.
