Urgent! Sign Petition Demanding Hossein Soudy Golabchi Be Held Accountable For Poaching A Rare Snow Leopard

Snow Leopards, which are native to the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia, must be protected, not poached.

Yet, unfathomably, that is what transpired recently when Hossein Soudy Golabchi, who moved to the United States at a young age, went on the hunt for his newest “trophy.”

Horrifically, a proud Golabchi allegedly boasted about his latest “accomplishment” despite the fact that it is illegal to own the big cat’s body parts or fur and importing its remains into the United States is a federal offense.

A Care2 petition has subsequently been created to ensure that the long-time and prolific trophy hunter be brought to justice both in the United States and internationally.

“I want to personally thank everyone around the world for helping this go viral,” TERA International (Tiger Exotic Animal Ranger Awareness) noted on the petition. “Snow leopards have never been numerous. The thought of a wealthy American specifically seeking one out to destroy its life is unfathomable. It also damages the communities around the snow leopard. He needs to be the example and needs to be in prison. Thank you, Amanda.”

The petition was originally launched by Care2’s Amanda W. on October 23, 2017 which was International Snow Leopard Day.

Sadly, Defenders of Wildlife has reported that there are only an estimated 3,500 to 7,000 snow leopards left in the wild, with 600 – 700 in zoos around the world. It further noted that the exact numbers in the wild are difficult to determine, due to the snow leopard’s shy nature.

Please be the voice for the voiceless and sign the petition to bring Hossein Soudy Golabchi to justice HERE!

You can help all animals and our planet by choosing compassion on your plate and in your glass. #GoVeg
