We are heartbroken to report that top Virunga Conservationists and Rangers have been killed in the escalating conflict in the Congo.
We do not have full details yet, but they include:
– Inspecteur Fikos (ICCN Virunga)
– Ranger Prince Muyahilwa (ICCN Virunga)
– 5 DR Congo military
We will keep you updated and post a formal tribute with full names and photos as soon as possible.
We send our deepest condolences to these heroes’ families and colleagues.
