Five Suspects Arrested For The Shooting Of Lady Gaga’s Dog Walker & Theft Of Her Two French Bulldogs

A little more than two months after the shockingly violent shooting of Ryan Fischer, Lady Gaga’s dog walker, and the dognapping and subsequent return of her two French Bulldogs, Koji and Gustav, comes news that five arrests have been made in connection with the appalling crime.

According to a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), 18-year-old James Jackson, 19-year-old Jaylin White, and 27-year-old Lafayette Whaley, were arrested and charged with attempted murder and robbery.

Sadly, but not surprisingly, the woman who claimed to have found the dogs and brought them to the police in response to a $500,000 reward for the dogs’ safe return, 50-year-old Jennifer McBride, was also arrested. She was charged with accessory of attempted murder as was 40-year-old Harold White. Detectives were able to establish that McBride had a relationship with White who is the father of Jaylin White.

As per the LAPD, James Jackson, Jaylin White, Lafayette Whaley, and Harold White are all documented gang members from Los Angeles. The case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office Major Crimes Division for filing yesterday.

While the investigation revealed that James Jackson, Jaylin White, and Lafayette Whaley were involved in the robbery and shooting of the victim, detectives do not believe the suspects were targeting the victim because the dogs were Lady Gaga’s. However, the suspects reportedly knew the value of the breed of dogs which was the motivation for the robbery.

As previously reported, WAN spoke with LAPD Officer Tony Im on February 25th to confirm the incident. Officer Im explained that the shooting occurred on the 1500 block of Sierra Bonita Avenue in Los Angeles and at the time the case was under investigation.
