Breaking! Billie Eilish & Mother Maggie Baird Appear On Vegan Cooking Show ‘New Day New Chef’ Highlighting Plant-Based Restaurants Feeding People In Need

The new vegan cooking show ‘New Day New Chef’ returns to Amazon Prime for a special series showcasing Support and Feed, the nonprofit organization formed by Maggie Baird, mother of award-winning musical artist Billie Eilish. The organization is working to help those in need during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.

New Day New Chef: Support and Feed Edition focuses on the organization’s work supplying food to children’s charities, homeless and domestic abuse shelters, food banks, and family and senior centers by supporting vegan restaurants in Los Angeles, New York, and Philadelphia.

Filmed largely with robotic cameras during the COVID-19 outbreak, the show follows Baird, a vegan actress and screenwriter, as she creates Support and Feed. Maggie’s talented family, including Billie and Finneas, will also appear on the show.

“New Day New Chef, which brings chefs and celebrities together, is a great way to focus on these wonderful restaurants, and the nourishing and delicious food they are providing to those in need through Support and Feed,” Baird said in a statement sent to WAN. “A plant-based diet is so important for the health of our communities and our planet. I hope this show and these chefs will inspire people, because there is no better day to start, than today.”

The eight-episode season also features fun-filled recipes from L.A.s finest vegan chefs, including: Sage Bistro’s Mollie Engelhart, SunCafe’s Ron Russell, and Pura Vita’s Tara Punzon, who are all partnering with Support and Feed. Expect some exciting interviews providing insight into the daily operations of the restaurateurs.

“Maggie saw a dual need and created a dual solution. Her brilliant concept allows caring people to donate to feeding people who are struggling during this pandemic while simultaneously helping vegan restaurants stay afloat during this crisis. It’s a win, win. And, it has the added benefit of proving to people that nutritious, plant-based food is delicious, by enlisting some of America’s top vegan chefs and restaurant owners,” stated Jane Velez-Mitchell, who is the host and creator of the show along with Emmy Award winner Eamonn McCrystal.

“All this comes together on New Day New Chef: Support and Feed Edition as the chefs themselves perform a show and tell as they whip up some of the tastiest food around,” concluded Mitchell.

Special guest appearances also include: Lesley Nicol from Downton Abbey, supermodel Joanna Krupainfluencer Kyle Krieger, Elaine Hendrix from Dynasty, Jorja Fox from CSI, Emilie de Ravin from Lost, and actress and documentary filmmaker Katie Cleary of Peace 4 Animals and World Animal News, who also serves as an executive producer of the show.

Two episodes are now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video HERE!
