Paul McCartney & Daughters Share Tasty Plant-Based Recipes In New Book, Linda McCartney’s Family Kitchen

Paul McCartney and his family have long been known for promoting the many benefits of a plant-based diet and lifestyle. In honor of his late wife Linda, McCartney and his daughters, Mary and Stella, collaborated on Linda McCartney’s Family Kitchen: Over 90 plant-based recipes to save the planet and nourish the soul.

The cookbook is set to be released on June 29th, and comes complete with personal stories and family photos spanning three decades.

“Years ago, before anyone had woken up to the idea of environmental, health, and animal welfare issues, Linda was blazing the trail with vegetarianism, telling people about it and promoting it. At home, she would cook for the family and these recipes have now been brought up to date for a modern audience, so they’re now all plant-based and fabulous. In the book, there are family photographs and stories from those days, and of course lots of great, beautiful, tasty healthy recipes,” McCartney said in a statement. “I hope this book also inspires conversations about sustainability and about modern living amongst people.’’

The book features family favorites such as American-Style Pancakes, Chili Non Carne, Sausage Rolls, and Shepherd’s Pie. Paul, Mary, and Stella also share some of the simple, nourishing, and sustainable recipes that they now cook mostly at home which include: Pad Thai, Pulled Jackfruit Burgers, Panzanella Salad, and Crunchy Pecan Cookies.

“It is such an honor to be working with the McCartney family on this important cookbook. As well as a fantastic cook, Linda was a true pioneer who campaigned relentlessly for animal welfare and a sustainable future,” stated Anna Valentine, Executive Publisher, Trapeze, Seven Dials, Orion Spring. “Thirty years on, it is a privilege to help share this important message once more, and to bring her delicious recipes up-to-date for a plant-based audience.”

The Beatles legend and his daughters, Mary who is a photographer, and Stella who is a highly-regarded ethical fashion designer, also launched the Meat Free Monday campaign in 2009. The family subsequently published the Meat Free Monday Cookbook in 2019.
